The search for a young couple who went missing in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, has come to a heartbreaking end. The couple, whose picture appears in the top portion of image_2f34a5.jpg, was found dead inside a vehicle that became submerged in a reservoir.
The Disappearance
The victims have been identified as Ingrid Gabriela Bezerra Nunes (26) and Mário Batista Rios (23). According to family and friends, the couple attended a party on Sunday morning, June 14, 2026, in the Chácaras Valparaíso region. Witnesses last saw them leaving the venue at around 8:30 AM, after which all contact was lost.
Discovery and Rescue Operation
Following a desperate search by loved ones, family members noticed telling clues near a local reservoir, including tire tracks, brake marks, and a detached car bumper on the shore.

The Location: Military Police and firefighters located the vehicle submerged at a depth of about three meters and roughly 12 meters away from the shore.
The Recovery: Specialized divers recovered the bodies from the vehicle on Monday night, June 15. Heavy machinery was brought in the following morning to pull the vehicle out of the water.
Investigation Details: Both victims were found in the back seat of the car. Authorities suggest they may not have been wearing seatbelts or moved to the rear in a desperate attempt to escape the sinking vehicle.
