Nearly $400K in stolen vehicles recovered after detectives dismantle Riverview chop shop

RIVERVIEW, Fla. (WFLA) — Three people were arrested after law enforcement said they discovered a local chop shop.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, Yoan Gonzalez Solorzano, 25, Javier Penate Berbe, 24, and Christien Ravi Bisnath, 31, stole an estimated $388,000 in vehicles from across Florida.

The three suspects are accused of targeting high-end vehicles from dealerships, auctions, and recent buyers between Dec. 2025 and March 2026.

Once stolen, deputies said the vehicles were taken to Hillsborough County and sold, dismantled for parts, or altered through fraudulent VIN swaps to conceal their identities and resell for profit.

Detectives dismantled a chop shop in Riverview and recovered multiple stolen vehicles, including GMC Yukons, Cadillac Escalades, and a Dodge Charger.

Surveillance video from Dec. 25, 2025, showed a $68,000 2021 white GMC Yukon Denali being targeted on Causeway Boulevard in Tampa, deputies said. A silver RAM was seen scouting the area before the Yukon was driven from the lot shortly after.

The Yukon was later recovered at a Riverview property with different wheels, while its original custom rims had been placed on another vehicle, according to deputies.

All three suspects face several felony charges, including grand theft and operating a chop shop.
